Okay, I've come to the realization that my 40-hour/week job is far too demanding to allow me to even entertain the fantasy that I'll be publishing anything new during the week, so I guess that means this will be more of a weekly blog. Yes, I'm incredibly lame because I can't juggle a 9 to 5 and a blog, but gimme a break! I don't even have a social life outside of my (retarded) gym. Thank god for the hot girl that works out every night at 7:30. At least I can daydream myself some social interaction...
I just can't find the time to read enough material to find something interesting. And even when I do find something, I rarely have the time to reflect upon it and write something thoughtful. Hopefully, the weekends will allow me the time to catch up and exercise my blogging muscles. Count on several new posts this weekend, including a few controversial ideas from my friends over at Freakonomics. Here's a preview of this weekend's docket:
-Gun control laws: Do they work?
-Global warming and "peak water"
-Philanthropy: How giving can hurt
In the meantime, here's a very humorous post over at Paul Krugman's blog. Make sure to read the comments as well. They're the best part. Enjoy!

Sounds like the bumper sticker I saw that said, "Despite the cost of living, it's still quite popular."
Oh, nice pun, by the way. Or my Shakespeare teacher would say, "Antanoclasis."
It's actually antanaclasis, but I'm sure you already knew that ;). Oh, and thank you for noticing my attempt at humor! It's hard work thinking of clever titles!
I think you'll eventually reach a balance where your emotional and creative tanks are refilled and you'll write more than one blog a week. I/O Psychologists theorize about "flow" which is an emotional and physical state where everything in life clicks (think: lubrication).
It's like the golden ages that many civilizations experience. People may experience many times like this in their life.
But as the guy who works right next to you, well, our job is not exactly refilling our tanks.
Ha! It most certainly is! (Note: sarcasm.) Oh, and though your comment was quite close-ended, and you seem to be a source of endless facts, I still feel you deserve an appreciative "thank you" for your first comment on my blog! Oh, and Jeff, meet Ted. Ted, meet Jeff. There. You have now been formally introduced. :)
