No, this is not a classification of a Star Wars walker, it's a type of microphone from audio-technica. And it's a great USB condenser mic, in my opinion. Of course, my opinion doesn't mean all that much at this time considering I have about two days of experience with microphones in my entire life.
What I do know is that it is vastly superior to my laptop's built-in mic. Hahahaha. Yeah, I know. That's saying a lot right? So far, the sound quality is so much higher than what I was getting before, there's no comparing them. Of course, this means that I'm actually getting some great tracks and recordings to put up on the interweb soon.
Unfortunately, this also coincides with me starting my new job, meaning less time to spend on writing and recording music. Sad face. But! But! This is a three-day weekend! So I hope to have the first quality recording of "Daniel" up on my MySpace page by the end of Monday. Cross your fingers.
In other news, it's amazing how working takes so much energy out of you. I get home...and I instantly want to fall asleep. And maybe eat. That's about it. Veg out on my chair and watch television is about all I have the energy to do once I get home. So even composing and practicing is not getting done after I'm home. Which stinks. (sigh) It's bad enough that work takes time out of my day away from what I love to do, but it also creeps into my personal time when I could be working on music. Oh well. Just got to get back into the swing of things and get my rhythm back. Then I hope to be more productive...
Also, a little shout out to my friend Sarah. She gave me a present in the mail and it was great AND funny. More than three times, eh? Hahaha, that's all I'm going to say. :D
Also, watch this space for more possible good news on the horizon...great things may be happening to yours truly very soon. Let's hope!
