Grand Opening!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share my excitement with you about the launch of my new artist website. Please go visit it at www.quintonkakaley.com

The idea behind creating my own personal site began about two months ago when I left my job with Amazon and began focusing on my songwriting in the summer. It was at this time that I decided to dedicate myself to songwriting and music in hopes of finally finding my place in life. It's not an easy thing to find by any means, but I know I've found what I'm passionate about.

And so I begin my journey towards becoming a professional musician. Along the way, I invite you to join me in my adventure and listen to what I have to say in my music. My music is me. I share my life with the world through song in the hopes that others who feel the way I do can find solace in my heartfelt lyrics and raw guitar-playing.

In order to understand my craft, I'll be posting clips of songs I'm working on in the hope that you, the listener, will enjoy following along in my journey and path of discovery. I'm not trying to sound cliché when I say this: I really want anyone and everyone to listen to my progression as an artist so that one day, when I'm finally on the mountaintop, you can all stand there with me and feel a sense of community because you were there as the inspiration and transformation took place.

The music will be rough. At times, maybe even bordering on unbearable. But that's because I'm not just cracking a window into my mind, I'm kicking down the whole damn door!!! Trust me, some songs will be terrible, there will be many mistakes, and the singing will be off-key often. But it will all be me. The good, the bad, and the dissonant. I want you to see the whole process. The inner workings of it all. I'm asking you to listen to not just a song, but an experience. I want you to watch the evolution of me in the hopes that you'll appreciate so much more what you hear at the end of it all...

I hope you enjoy it. Every last musical drip and drop. Because more of us out there need to open up to the world and shout, "This is me! Are you ready?"
